Camila Alves was born on January 28, 1982 in Brazil and raised there until the age of 15. At 15, Alves moved to Los Angeles to visit her aunt and decided to stay. After working there for four years as a house-cleaner and waitress, she became fluent in English and decided to make the United States her home.
